Rain, Run off and Seagull Rescue at Point Dume

2 North Bound 0 South Bound 3.75 hrs

No gray whales observed with alternating viewing conditions. Rain and drizzle 🌧️ on and off with low marine layer/fog 49-52 degrees. Mud and debris accumulated on access road into and out of the parking lot. Beach erosion continues along coast with storm surges and ongoing run off from the atmospheric river of rain. A pelican was seen and reported to Californian Wildlife Center Rescue team. Ocean Lifeguard Chris Newman rescued the bird with reporting beachgoer and will hold until California Wildlife Center is able to get out.
