Calm flat ocean 62 degrees wind 1-3 mph, perfect viewing conditions.

Two south bound whales were seen in one sighting and observed for nearly 30 minutes as they migrated across the transect.

.Strong yellow smog haze at horizon.

A large pod of dolphins seen off shore and 5-7 coastal bottlenose dolphins hunting in the surf line at sunset that set with a green flash followed by a beautiful red sky afterburner of color.

***A reliable eyewitness captured (on film) one gray whale heading south earlier in the day.
