Rain all night and morning leading to drizzly afternoon with continued showers inland and high risk alerts for rock and mud slides. Care is required driving along canyon roads leading to the beaches and rain saturated areas. Rough choppy seas and muddy surf with accumulations of sea foam onshore at the tide line. Beaches littered with driftwood, large logs and plastic debris. High surf 6-8ft with gusty strong winds. The gray whales migrated though at top speed without stopping along the transect from the surf line to the hazy horizon in rough choppy surf. A seasonal waterfall is running along the PCH ( Pacific Coast Highway) and funneled below the highway, out to the ocean where advisories are in effect to not swim after rain due to high levels of bacteria risks. Bathhouse 3 (last one) is closed due to septic tank issues.
