Heavy Marine Layer and Light Rain: Two Gray Whales

2 North Bound 0 South Bound 3.75 hrs

Light rain and drizzle with heavy marine layer, decreased visibility with low ceiling and white out conditions in the morning. 56 degrees, massive runoff erosion with fresh cut scarp near storm drains along Westward. Logs and debris scattered in tide line with 4-6 ft waves, sandy murky water with yellow brown seafoam. Late afternoon sun peeking though with rough choppy surf and gusty 12-15mph winds. Westward Road was closed at the PCH due to a downed telephone pole and electric power lines.
