No gray whales observed today with rough choppy seas and gusty 25 mph winds.

The beach erosion from recent winter storms is drastic. Huge portions of sand washed away changing the contours of the shore line. The new rip rap boulder wall surrounds BathHouse 3 at the entrance of parking area on the ocean side. Bathhouse 1 at the far end of parking lot near the rock wall has massive sand loss along the tide line, leaving a huge 10ft + drop off that wasn’t there before! The high tide line swash marks are further inland at this time.
