No Gray Whales observed despite good viewing conditions. Mostly overcast and cool, 57 degrees, wind 3-5 mph calm seas.
Two Sea Lions (pinnipeds) observed in Sea Lion Colony at the Point Dume Natural Preserve with orange tags indicating that have been Rehabilitated in a Marine Mammal Center. Unfortunately the tag numbers could not be read due to the position the Sea Lions took while resting on shore. Local beach goer Ralph is taking time to view the Sea Lions on his daily adventures.

Surf Canyon Market hosted a charity benefit event to raise funds for the local Wildfire victims. Top local and national band Little Dume played two sets of their top hits including “OCEAN” and “Feels Good To be Human” . Parts of the music videos were filmed on location at local beach’s including Point Dume. Take a listen (watch) and support these amazing and talented musicians. Songs are available on iTunes, Amazon music, YouTube music and Spotify. Local Chef Sebastian from Basqueria prepared his wood fire cooked specialty of Spanish Chicken Paella with Spanish rice and Basque fire burned Cheesecake. Several shops offered specials and Cross Fit Malibu had Malibu Strong Sweatshirts and pants for sale.
