Vibrant Sunset and Gray Whale Migration on Valentine’s Day 2024 | North and South Bound Sightings

February 14th, 2024 Wednesday

4 North Bound 2 South Bound 6.5 hrs

A pair of South bound juvenile Gray Whales spotted along Westward beach in the surf rolling with large heart shaped blows delighting beach goers as they slowly migrated down the coast and continued on their southern journey.

A second pair of gray whales migrated north followed by two solo whales in the late afternoon. A large solo adult whale was thin with lack of body fat

Sunset with combinations of cumulous and cirrus clouds produced a vibrant display of colors for Valentine’s Day picnickers and beach goers alike.
