No Gray Whales observed despite good viewing conditions. The sky was mostly gray with moments of the sun trying to burn through the dense clouds without luck. The ocean was calm and glassy. The wind was heavier in the morning and died down in the afternoon. A pair of coyotes were seen hunting in the hills above the Pacific Coast Highway. A sea lion pup was in the surf, popping up in front of the waves and peeking over from the top. The Coast Guard ship was seen at the horizon heading south and there were a few surfers catching wave action. No view of the sunset tonight due to the dense layer of clouds.
