Palindrome is a word, phrase or date that is the same forward and backwards. March 2023 has ten such dates in a row from 3/20/23 through 3/29/23.




Sunny, blue skies and fluffy heart shaped cumulus clouds changed as a heavy storm system passed over head. 57 degrees. Rough choppy surf with large swells: wind 12-15mph makes spotting the whales difficult but thankfully some do come in very close for those beach goers who brave the strong 25+mph wind gusts blowing sand, making walking difficult at times.












The sun set behind the Channel Islands with a split second, bright green flash. The last whale lingered in the surf slowly making its way north, spyhopping several times with lots of small direction changes in and out of the surf, rolling and back floating.
